 Spring Summer festival begins and the arts have the their honor!

"Nature, the Muse of the Arts"

In the context of the development of the arts through a holistic approach (a global trend in the field of the arts), the Municipal Public Benefit Enterprise of the Municipality of Edessa  with the department of the Conservatory of the Municipality of Edessa -ODEs- places music at the center and redefines its spring festival. In Edessa, the "city of waters", music flows and the rest of the arts flow. The festival is divided into sections in order to unite the "muse nature" with its creators/artists-"praisers" and the municipality of Edessa is a unique destination, for the accomplishment of this purpose!

The sections of the Festival:

  "Snapshots": Short concerts throughout the city. A "Musical mapping" of our city, of its pulse! For a theatrical set, Edessa...

"Musical imprints": The music of a book, a painting, the... silent cinema! Concerts with parallel artistic activities! The artistic month of May of the association "Megas Alexandros" welcomes music in its exhibitions at the Parthenagogeio (5 snapshots of the festival will accompany the opening of its 5 exhibitions).

“Chamber performances”: and not only... In our city there was already a performance of a chamber opera, soloists performed and the surprises in the performing arts continue.

"Art workshops": The 3rd consecutive summer art workshop "Summer Music Art Camp" opens its doors to everyone on July 3rd for one month. The workshop interacts with the festival in all its educational/artistic actions. Special composition workshop with the aim of writing new works that will frame the festival.

1st Music competition: our city gets a competition aimed at highlighting new talents. The competition for its 1st year is addressed to pianists, degree holders (relevant information and terms of participation will be announced on Monday, May 15).

Over 60 artists, Municipal conservatories and associations are already participating in the Festival program, 13 Concerts, 3 musical theater acts, 7 snapshots, 2 musical imprints and we continue!
